The Vegetarian Agenda

Vegetarianism is an individual choice and should be respected. Unfortunately some extremists respect neither truth nor the law in their attempts to subvert both to their own ends. Nor do they respect the rights of other states to pass their own laws based on what their constituents actually want.

To some extremists, vegetarianism is a religion to be preached - or violently forced - onto others, rather than a personal choice. "Vegees" do not just avoid meat for health reasons. They believe that humans do not have the right to use animals for meat, clothing, entertainment or companionship. Not content just to make dietary choices for themselves, Vegee fanatics from other states are doing their best to force their way into North Carolina government by disguising their agenda. Why is a California animal rights lawyer from API voting on a legislative advisory committee in North Carolina? Is that really what the taxpayers of this state want, or did animal rights activists just pull a fast one on the citizens of North Carolina with the help of the Asheboro Zoo?

The fanatic Vegee acvitist believes firmly in "the ends justifying the means." In their zeal to "prevent cruelty," they are willing to bend the truth to whatever degree will support their preconceived views, often inciting acts of cruelty themselves. They are willing to hurt both animals and people to achieve their goals. Committing animal cruelty to prevent animal cruelty is not a rational act. Unfortunately we're not dealing with rational people.

"We feel that animals have the same rights as retarded children." -Alex Pacheco, Director, PETA, New York Times, January 14, 1989.

"Arson, property destruction, burglary and theft are 'acceptable crimes' when used for the animal cause." -Alex Pacheco, Director, PETA

"Six million Jews died in concentration camps, but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughter houses." -Ingrid Newkirk, President, PETA, The Washington Post, November 13, 1983.

"It is time we demand an end to the misguided and abusive concept of animal ownership. The first step on this long, but just, road would be ending the concept of pet ownership." -Elliot Katz, President, In Defense of Animals, "In Defense of Animals," Spring 1997

"I wish we all would get up and go into the labs and take the animals out or burn them down." -Ingrid Newkirk, President, PETA, National Animal Rights Convention '97, June 27, 1997

"In a war you have to take up arms and people will get killed, and I can support that kind of action by petrol bombing and bombs under cars, and probably at a later stage, the shooting of vivisectors on their doorsteps. It's a war, and there's no other way you can stop vivisectors." -Tim Daley, British Animal Liberation Front Leader

These are the ranks from which Ani-scammer activists are recruited, themselves unwitting dupes of the greater profiteers who are cynically raking in your contribution money. Ani-scamming is an international pyramid scheme where the lower echelon never knows who is really in control.
