Who's Taking Away Our Rights? The secret identity of the "Ani-Scammers"

Who is sponsoring the California animal rights activists in this state and giving them a crucial foothold in our legislature? At present they are hiding behind the AZA (American Zoological Association) and the Asheboro Zoo in a temporary partnership that is unlikely to end well for the zoo or the animals in its possession. API is openly anti-zoo, and their ultimate agenda is to shut down all zoos and end the captivity of all animals. So why did Lorraine Smith, Curator of Mammals at the Asheboro Zoo, invite API's lawyer into our state to sit (and vote) on a legislative advisory committee? It certainly looks like she's been "ani-scammed".

Animal scammers have tapped into a vein of practically endless financial support, which they next funnel into state government. Their method is to attack the American system of representation in public office, so that only they themselves are represented.

The modern animal rights movement is not what it seems. Today's activists have perverted once-sensible animal welfare goals by putting animals ahead of human beings and employing a "by any means necessary" philosophy to achieve their goals of "total animal liberation."

Led by PETA, the Humane Society of the United States, and other activist groups, the animal liberation movement does not seek to improve animals' lives. Its goal is to place unnecessary restrictions on ordinary people like you. The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), by the way, does not have anything to do with your local animal shelter. Despite the omnipresent dogs and cats in its fundraising materials, it’s not an organization that runs spay/neuter programs or takes in stray, neglected, and abused pets. Today's activists want to force you to eat nothing but beans and greens; and wear nothing but cotton, rayon, and rubber. They want to ban hunting, fishing, zoos, rodeos, and circuses. Some want to permanently end Kosher slaughter. They even want to outlaw the use of animals in the search for cures for AIDS, Parkinson's Disease, and cancer.
