No More Neighborhood Zoos?

The North Carolina Association of Zoos and Sanctuaries (NCAZS) represents forty-one North Carolina zoos, museums, nature centers, sanctuaries and wildlife educators, and a combined taxable income of over 522 million dollars.

We are the people-friendly, education orientated zoological park or museum you take your kids to on Saturday afternoon.

We are accessible, affordable, family oriented establishments catering to school groups and tourism.

We are your friendly neighborhood zoo attraction.

Without us, you would have to drive hundreds of miles to visit a zoo. Not everyone in the state can afford to take their families to Asheboro.

Certain factions do not want us to exist. Those factions claim to be concerned about animals, but in fact they have an entirely different agenda. Learn the difference between animal welfare and animal rights.
